TPX SOURCEBOOK - This lists every North American company (over 5,000) that manufacturers, sells (new or used) or services any type of graphic arts equipment or supplies. The Windows version includes quarterly updates and is $299 (after the first year, quarterly updates cost $149/year).

TPX BUYER'S GUIDE - This lists over 3,000 companies that either provide printing or pre- or post-press services to printers and printing brokers, or who sell ad specialties for resale. The Windows version is priced at US$ 99.

TPX TECH SPECS - Our directory is the world's most complete listing of graphic arts products and their tech specs. Anyone may access the new equipment specs to shop and compare, and contact manufacturers. Only TPX subscribers may access the specs for out-of-production equipment.

TPX LINKS - Delivers the world's most complete and best organized directory of graphic arts Web sites. You may search for TPX Network Members' sites or all graphic arts sites - and link to the ones that interest you!

TPX CALENDAR - Any registered user may search this directory where we list any graphic arts-related events (trade shows, conventions, meetings, open houses, etc) for free.


TPX offers that following types of equipment ads:

TPX MARKETPLACE ADS - Want-to-buy ads are free! TPX subscribers also get free for-sale ads, but others may advertise a machine or some excess supplies - until it sells - in the TPX Marketplace for only $50.

TPX METRO EXPRESS ADS - Your Marketplace ads will appear on a space-available basis in your region's TPX Metro Express e-mail newsletter that lets all local printers know about equipment being sold by local printers.

TPX HOT DEALS - TPX provides the maximum exposure for the following types of Hot Deal Ads:

  1. USED EQ SPECIALS that you want to SELL NOW!

  2. NEW EQ & SUPPLY COUPONS manufacturers or dealers want to offer to encourage more sales.

TPX AUCTIONS - All sellers can get more exposure for TPX Marketplace classified ads by starting 14 day open bid auctions. Non-subscribers pay a $20 insertion fee to start the auction (subscribers pay no insertion fees and can also run sealed bid auctions). Sellers pay a 2% commission only if the item is sold on-line which may not happen since we encourage sellers to provide contact information in the auction long comment.

This new marketplace will focus on excess and odd-lot paper and envelopes that merchants, brokers or printers can list for sale.

PAPER SELLER SERVICES - Sellers will be able to offer their paper in any combination of the following three manners:

  1. Buy Now which lets buyers buy the item at a defined price.

  2. Make Offer which lets buyers make an offer that the seller can accept or ignore.

  3. Open Bid Auction where sellers define a minimum bid price and a 3, 7 or 14 day expiration period. Buyers can place bids above the minimum or high bid. When the auction ends, the high bidders become purchasers (orders are confirmed by email).

  4. Sealed Bid Auction where buyers can place bids for any amount about which only the seller learns. The seller can ignore or accept the sealed bids.

PAPER BUYER SERVICES - The TPX Paper Marketplace will help buyers find the great paper deals they seek as follows:

  1. Free Access - Any buyer can search our paper marketplace for free, and place orders, offers and bids on any of the paper being listed for sale.

  2. Reverse Auctions - Buyers can also list the types of paper they regularly want to buy so that sellers can submit sealed bids which the buyer may accept or ignore.

FEES & COMMISSIONS - The TPX Paper Marketplace can be used by buyers for free, and charges sellers one or both of the following:

  1. Listing Fees - Sellers who are not subscribers pay a $10 listing fee for each paper listing when they add the listing or start an auction, and each 30 days thereafter until the seller removes the listing or the paper is all sold.

  2. Commissions - A two percent (2%) commission is paid by the seller only when paper is sold through our paper marketplace (the commission rate is reduced to 1% on truckload sales).

The TPX Shopping System lets buyers find the best deals on new equipment, parts and supplies and anything being auctioned, and helps sellers as follows:

OPEN BID AUCTIONS - Any seller with classified ads can start and later renew 14 day open bid auctions for each of their classified for-sale ads. Non-subscribers pay a $20 insertion fee to start the auction, and may pay a final value fee equal to 2% of the items purchase price only if a buyers purchases the item on-line by placing what becomes the winning bid, performing a "Buy Now" purchase, or placing an offer that is accepted by the seller.

OTHER OPTIONS - TPX subscribers can make full use of the TPX Shopping System to include using it to power e-commerce on their own site and/or listing their products so that buyers can do one or more of the following:

  1. Buy Now - When sellers provide a "Buy Now price" buyers will have the option of immediately purchasing the item at the defined fixed price.

  2. Make Offer - If sellers desire, buyers can be allowed to make offers that the seller can ignore or accept.

  3. Place Sealed Bids - Sealed Bid auctions can be started whereby buyers can place sealed bids. Noone but the seller will know what amounts are being bid by buyers. The seller can igore the sealed bids or accept one or more during a 72 hour window after the auction ends.

The TPX Jobs Marketplace contains the following types of ads.

HELP WANTED ADS - Employers and search firms can place help wanted ads. These are free to TPX subscribers. Others pay $50/month/ad.

JOBS WANTED ADS - Individuals and search firms can place one or more job wanted ads per individual job seeker. These are free to individuals and TPX subscribers. Search firms that are not TPX subscribers pay $50/month/ad.

JOBS HELD ADS - Individuals may submit their resume by providing a paragraph the describes them and then listing one or more jobs they held (so employers can find individuals with the right experience). These ads are free.

TPX also offers several off-line services which include the following:

TPX MAIL LIST SERVICES - Subscribers can use the TPX Subscriber System to load onto their computers any or all of TPX's mailing list of printers and trade shops with monthly updates for only $500/month (12 month minimum). Anyone can purchase any part of our list for $250/1,000 companies.
